St. Anton holds the crown of "Europe?s liveliest ski resort" and calls itself a Weltdorf, or "World Village". Not surprisingly, the resort has a genuine, international outlook and feel. St. Anton?s skiing and snowboarding are legendary, attracting winter sports fans from all over the world to the Arlberg area of western Austria. The resort is lift linked to St. Christoph, where the snow is skiable into May, and it is also on the same pass as Lech and Zurs (a short bus ride away). The vast ski area includes many spine tingling off-piste descents and over 160 km (100 miles) of off-piste, ungroomed routes. There is plenty of skiing for all ability levels but there is simply far more tough and exciting terrain available. To complete the experience, St Anton?s nightlife is hard to beat. Be sure to check out the infamous Krazy Kangaruh bar from which exuberant (and sometimes inebriated) skiers jump off the deck at the end of the day. | Vertical Drop: | 4946 ft
