Located in a wide sunny valley only 15km (9 miles) from the German border, the favorable location of Soll has led to fame greatly exceeding its size. While Soll is no longer a tiny village, it has successfully maintained a "village feel." Its impressive domed church is the village center and the populace maintains a relatively healthy ratio of almost 1 to 1 for locals-to-tourists. Long popular with British as well as German visitors, English is widely spoken. The resort, like Solden and Italy's Sauze d'Oulx, has a reputation for sometimes being rowdy when the sun goes down. Soll is the snowmaking capital of Autria and as a participant in the Kitzbuheler Alpen Ski Pass, the resort features almost unlimited skiing opportunities. | Vertical Drop: | 4286 ft
