A large Tyrolean village, Solden is spread along the mountain road up to Obergurgl and made up of large jumbo-chalet size hotels. Solden is home to two glaciers, one of which is open year round, and both are lift-linked to the resort base, although a bus is needed to reach them in the off-season. There are over 100 km of trails for all abilities at Solden, although the majority appeal to intermediate ability levels. Solden is spread out and lacks a focal point, but there are plenty of evening options and the place is buzzing until dawn. | Vertical Drop: | 6443 ft
