Schruns
31 март 2007
Ernest Hemingway visited this Montafon region village near the Swiss/Italian border in 1925, 25 years before the first lift was built. Most of the skiing today is above 1850 meters (over 6000 feet) and reached by chair or cable car from the village.

Part the Montafon Pass, Schruns is a gateway to 200 km of terrain in neighboring resorts such as Bartholomaberg, Gargellen, Hoch Joch, Gaschurn, Gortipohl, Kristberg, Partenen, St. Gallenkirch, Tschagguns and Vandans.

Schruns itself is less than 160km (100 miles) from both Innsbruck and Zurich airports.
