Lech-Zurs
31 март 2007
Lech is an important resort in the history of downhill skiing, along with Z?rs, (to which it is linked by ski lift), St Anton and St Christoph (not linked but on the same lift pass, a short bus ride away). The Arlberg was one of the places where downhill skiing began in the Alps, when "Nordic Planks" were imported from Scandinavia in the 1890s (where the Telemark technique had recently begun).

Today, Lech is a cosmopolitan resort which attracts the great, the good and the rich from all over the world, as well as just normal ski fans. Indeed it's one of the few key Austrian winter draws for the jet set, most famously the late Princess Diana. Located in beautiful Alpine scenery it?s a buzzing resort with plenty going on around the clock and a well laid out, modern lift system to boot.
