The Camp 10 Ski Area was originally built by volunteers from the Rhinelander and Tomahawk communities in the beautiful Wisconsin River valley. The site was selected because of its high bluffs and direct north face orientation. The view from the top of the bluffs is unique in presenting an almost all wilderness scene to the visitor. The area was closed in 1994 for a total makeover. The project included the installation of the first of two chair lifts, extensive earth moving, a total refurbisjhment of existing equipment, replacement of the rental equipment, addition of grooming equipment, expansion of the snowmaking system, and upgrading the night skiing equipment. Creature comforts included a new septic system and additional lodge heating. The Camp 10 Ski Area is affiliated with the Midwest Ski Areas Association, The Wisconsin Ski Area Association, and the NSP. Източник: www.goski.com
